Handyman for Luxury Resort Maintenance

About the role

Constance Hotels & Resorts is seeking a versatile Handyman to support the maintenance of its luxury resort on the south‑eastern coast of Mauritius. The role involves performing a wide range of repair and upkeep tasks to ensure guest areas remain safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing tasks such as fixing taps, shower fittings, toilet handles, and clearing blocked pipes.
• Perform electrical system checks and minor repairs.
• Repair and refinish wooden tables, partitions, doors, and windows, including gluing, sanding, polishing, and varnishing.
• Execute masonry work including wall crack casting, tile replacement, and brick laying for pathways.
• Conduct painting and varnishing duties, mixing colours and retouching surfaces as needed.
• Clean roofs, drains, and other hotel areas according to the established schedule.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education; additional training or certificates in relevant trades are a plus.
• At least one year of experience in hotel or luxury resort maintenance.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow safety regulations and company policies.
