Handyman – Maintenance & Repairs

About the role

We are looking for a versatile Handyman to join the maintenance team at Constance Le Chaland, a luxury resort on the south‑eastern coast of Mauritius. You will ensure the property remains safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and follow safety procedures in line with local regulations.
• Repair and refinish wooden furniture, tables, and partitions.
• Maintain doors, windows, and hardware, including polishing, adjusting, and lubricating hinges.
• Carry out plumbing tasks such as fixing taps, shower fittings, toilet handles, and clearing blocked pipes.
• Execute masonry work, including crack filling, tile replacement, and brick laying for pathways.
• Conduct painting and varnishing duties, mixing colors and retouching surfaces as needed.
• Clean roofs, drains, and other designated areas according to the maintenance schedule.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education; additional training or certificates in relevant trades is a plus.
• At least one year of experience in hotel or luxury resort maintenance.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good problem‑solving abilities and clear communication in English.
