Head of Industrial Engineering & Continuous Improvement

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and visionary leader to head the Industrial Engineering and Continuous Improvement function for our integrated textile and apparel manufacturing operations in Mauritius and Madagascar. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will drive operational excellence, productivity, and Lean transformation across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Group Industrial Engineering and Continuous Improvement strategy and multi‑year roadmap.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing deployment, champion Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management and problem‑solving initiatives.
• Establish governance for Continuous Improvement projects and monitor benefits realization.
• Oversee time studies, work measurement, capacity planning, line balancing, workforce optimization and factory layout optimisation.
• Support automation and digital transformation projects to enhance material flow and resource utilisation.
• Act as a senior advisor to management on operational performance and transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in industrial engineering, continuous improvement or manufacturing excellence.
• Strong track record of delivering measurable productivity, cost and quality improvements in a multi‑site environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
