About the role

Join the distinguished food and beverage team at Constance Prince Maurice, a 5‑star luxury resort in Mauritius. As a Head Waiter (Chef de Rang), you will ensure flawless dining experiences for discerning guests while leading a dedicated service crew.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all aspects of restaurant service, maintaining the highest standards of quality and guest satisfaction.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of waiters and support staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Manage guest relations, promptly addressing queries and resolving issues.
• Collaborate closely with the kitchen to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
• Implement and uphold strict food safety and hygiene standards.
• Monitor stock levels, place orders, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a high‑end restaurant or luxury hotel setting.
• Proven supervisory experience in food service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership abilities and a passion for fine‑dining etiquette.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with restaurant management software.
• Experience using point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Current food safety and hygiene certifications.
• Knowledge of wine service and cocktail preparation.
