Health & Safety Officer

About the role

R.E.A.L Garments Ltd is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join its manufacturing plant in La Tour Koenig. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment across production sites and employee dormitories, complying with local legislation and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee health and safety aspects in production areas and dormitories.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments across all departments.
• Advise management on practical measures to minimise occupational risks.
• Design and deliver training programmes, including safety inductions, to meet OSHA and social‑compliance requirements.
• Develop and maintain effective communication channels for occupational health and safety.
• Inspect workplaces monthly, record findings, and report incidents.
• Monitor legislative changes and update health‑safety manuals, rules, and procedures.
• Promote safe work practices through posters, signs, and other resources.
• Participate in health‑safety committee meetings and support new project phases.
• Lead environmental protection initiatives, review industry trends, and prepare compliance reports.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience as a Health & Safety Officer in a manufacturing environment.
• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety from a recognised institution.
• Computer literacy and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Conversant in Hindi (preferred).
• Experience in the textile sector is an advantage.

Required skills

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and local health‑safety legislation.
• Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and safety audits.
• Ability to develop and deliver health‑safety training programmes.
• Experience with environmental protection policies and reporting.
