Hostess

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and professional Hostess to join our luxury resort team in Mauritius. You will be the first point of contact for guests, welcoming them, managing reservations and ensuring a smooth seating experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables according to reservation details and guest preferences.
• Maintain and organize the host/hostess stand, review the reservation book and make set‑up recommendations.
• Coordinate with the front‑of‑house team to handle guest inquiries, special requests and any last‑minute changes.
• Participate in briefings, training sessions and assist colleagues during peak periods.
• Uphold the hotel’s grooming, hygiene and code‑of‑conduct standards while keeping the work area clean and safe.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a genuine enthusiasm for hospitality.
• Ability to work hands‑on, multitask and remain calm under pressure.
• Strong teamwork orientation and willingness to support colleagues.
• Commitment to punctuality, professionalism and adherence to company policies.
