Housekeeping (Floor) Supervisor

About the role

Constance Belle Mare Plage is seeking a Housekeeping (Floor) Supervisor to lead the floor cleaning team at its resort in Flacq, Mauritius. The role ensures high standards of room hygiene, equipment maintenance, and guest satisfaction while supporting a collaborative and safety‑focused work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily room cleaning, hygiene standards, and equipment maintenance, reporting any defects immediately.
• Rotate staff across tasks, monitor punctuality, and maximize productivity to control payroll costs.
• Maintain adequate stock of guest amenities, chemicals, and cleaning supplies.
• Enforce safety and fire regulations, eliminate work hazards, and ensure compliance with all procedures.
• Act as Head Housekeeper in their absence and replace room attendants as required.
• Coordinate communication between housekeeping and other hotel departments to prevent complaints.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in the hotel industry, preferably in a luxury resort.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory housekeeping role.
• Secondary education; additional training or certificates in housekeeping is a plus.
• Ability to work physically demanding tasks and manage a team effectively.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment and handle cleaning chemicals safely.
