Industrial Electrician

About the role

FM Group is looking for a skilled and reliable electrician to handle a wide range of electrical tasks within its textile manufacturing facility. The position is open to both local and expatriate candidates and is based in the SLDC Industrial Zone, Firemount.

Key responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in machinery, panels, lighting and wiring.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operations.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints and technical manuals.
• Ensure all work follows safety standards and best practices.
• Work with the maintenance team to minimise downtime.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs.

Required profile

• Certificate or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as an industrial electrician; textile or manufacturing environments preferred.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, motors and control circuits.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and lockout/tagout procedures.
