About the role
The Information Technology Officer will oversee the group’s servers, networks, retail IT equipment and CCTV systems across all locations, ensuring smooth operation and compliance with data protection regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Manage group servers, firewalls, routers and related software.
- Maintain and troubleshoot computers, printers, POS machines and other IT hardware.
- Install, maintain and monitor CCTV cameras, NVR/DVR systems and report suspicious activity.
- Utilize modern AI tools and keep business software up‑to‑date.
- Enforce the Data Protection Act and report any IT misuse.
- Advise management on technology purchases and upgrades.
Required profile
- BSc in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an IT Officer or in a comparable role.
Required skills
- Server & network administration (LAN/WAN, firewalls, routers).
- Hardware diagnostics and maintenance for PCs, printers and POS devices.
- CCTV installation, NVR/DVR setup and live monitoring.
- Proficiency with modern AI tools.
- Knowledge of the Mauritius Data Protection Act.
- System and software troubleshooting.
