Interior Designer

About the role

Azuri Smart City is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to lead and coordinate interior design across its smart‑city projects. You will ensure design intent, quality, budget and programme are maintained from concept through handover.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate interior design concepts, layouts, finishes, fixtures and FF&E in line with project briefs.
• Provide design direction to the Interior Design Draughtsperson, review and approve drawings, and manage their workload.
• Select and specify interior materials, finishes, lighting, furniture and related products, maintaining finish schedules and material libraries.
• Assist procurement, monitor costs with the QS and Project Manager, and identify value‑engineering opportunities.
• Conduct site inspections, resolve design‑related issues, and support snagging, final inspections and handover.
• Act as the main point of contact for interior design matters, coordinating with architects, consultants, contractors and suppliers.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional interior design experience, preferably in real‑estate development, residential, hospitality or luxury projects.
• Proven track record of leading projects from concept through implementation and handover.
• Strong knowledge of interior materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures and lighting.
• Experience working within project budgets, programmes and quality requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Revit (or equivalent design and visualisation tools).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction documentation.
• Expertise in specifying interior materials, finishes, FF&E and maintaining specification schedules.
• Competence in preparing professional design presentations, mood boards and material palettes.
