International Retail Buyer

About the role

We are looking for an International Retail Buyer to join our new Mauritius office. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, Supply Chain & Business Operations, you will secure optimal purchasing conditions, ensure product availability and drive profitability across our global retail operations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse supplier catalogues, product ranges and market trends to identify commercial opportunities.
• Partner with Commercial and Retail teams across international markets to execute category strategies and product assortments.
• Negotiate pricing, minimum order quantities, lead times and commercial agreements with suppliers.
• Source and develop new supplier partnerships to support business growth.
• Validate purchasing quantities, create and issue purchase orders through the ERP system.
• Monitor supplier confirmations, production schedules and delivery performance.
• Manage long‑term supplier relationships, quality issues, claims and commercial negotiations.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, process improvement and product innovation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Purchasing, Supply Chain, International Trade or a related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in buying, purchasing or procurement within retail, FMCG or a fast‑paced environment.
• Curious about new technologies and comfortable using AI‑powered tools.
• Adaptable to a fast‑growing, entrepreneurial setting where processes evolve.
