Junior Accountant (Financial Services)

About the role

The Junior Accountant will join the Finance Department to support accurate financial record‑keeping, statutory compliance, and reporting activities. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining high data integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Record and process financial transactions promptly and accurately.
• Perform regular account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare and submit periodic financial and operational reports.
• Support tax return preparation and filing of statutory returns such as APS, VAT and TDS.
• Monitor and reconcile debtor and creditor accounts, and follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Reconcile inter‑company balances and maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
• Respond to audit requests and liaise with banks on transactional matters.
• Assist with finance‑related projects and ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• ACCA Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
• Previous accounting or internship experience is desirable.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organizational abilities.
• Professional integrity, confidentiality and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
