Junior Accountant

About the role

Citco is seeking a Junior Accountant to join its Global Subsidiary Governance Services team in Ebene, Mauritius. You will support multinational clients by handling day‑to‑day accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with local and international standards, and delivering accurate financial reports.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general accounting and bookkeeping in line with local, international and industry‑specific requirements.
• Prepare and deliver accurate client reports within agreed deadlines.
• Monitor financial transactions, verify supporting documentation, and resolve client queries.
• Assist in the preparation for annual audits.
• Participate in group projects and ad‑hoc assignments as directed by the account manager.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of practical accounting experience.
• Knowledge of International GAAP and IFRS accounting principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Understanding of International GAAP.
• Understanding of IFRS.
