Junior Accountant – Mauritius

About the role

Kick And Rush is looking for a Junior Accountant to join its finance team in Mauritius. Reporting to the Senior Accountant in Belgium, you will handle day‑to‑day accounting tasks and gain exposure to the financial operations of an international branded‑merchandise group.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bank, supplier and customer reconciliations to keep accounts accurate.
• Process supplier invoices, book them in the system and prepare payments.
• Issue customer invoices and follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Maintain day‑to‑day bookkeeping entries ready for month‑end close.
• Assist the Belgian finance team with month‑end reporting and close activities.
• Identify inconsistencies early and propose practical solutions.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in a comparable accounting role.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented attitude with strong attention to detail.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Comfortable working independently across time zones.

Required skills

• Experience with accounting software (multiple systems).
• Knowledge of Belgian GAAP (preferred).
