Junior Banking Operations Administrator

About the role

Hawksford is looking for a Junior Banking Operations Administrator to support its centralised Banking Operations function in Mauritius. You will handle day‑to‑day transaction processing, monitor statements and help drive digital transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Upload and reconcile bank statements from core and non‑core banks into vPoint and track statement‑level activity.
• Assist in collating and importing banking data for automated bookkeeping projects.
• Maintain accurate records of banking platform access and support the shift to portal‑based statements.
• Ensure data accuracy across jurisdictions and resolve discrepancies.
• Contribute to management information reports on banking fees, FX margins and interest rates.
• Support senior management in preparing internal and regulatory reports.
• Follow and help refine banking operations procedures, ensuring compliance with internal controls.

Required profile

• Prior experience in banking operations, finance administration or shared services (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Familiarity with banking platforms and statement reconciliation processes.
• Basic understanding of financial controls and risk awareness.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data handling tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across departments.
