Kitchen Helper

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Kitchen Helper to join our restaurant team in Grand Bay. The role is full‑time and on‑site, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in delivering high‑quality meals while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting and portioning according to recipes.
• Assist chefs with simple cooking tasks and follow their instructions during service.
• Maintain high hygiene standards by cleaning workstations, dishes, utensils and equipment.
• Stock supplies, manage waste and keep the kitchen organized.
• Collaborate with front‑of‑house staff to ensure smooth service flow.

Required profile

• Basic food preparation and cooking knowledge.
• Understanding of food‑and‑beverage operations and safety standards.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Reliability, punctuality and flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Team‑oriented attitude and willingness to follow instructions.
