Laundry In-Charge (Denim)

About the role

FM Group is looking for a Laundry In-Charge for its denim laundry unit. The post oversees daily laundry production of denim garments, ensuring smooth workflow and productivity targets of up to 20,000 pieces per day, and supervises a team of around 125 to 150 workers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily laundry production operations for denim garments.
• Ensure smooth workflow and productivity targets are met (up to 20,000 pieces per day).
• Supervise and guide laundry team members in washing, finishing and quality checks.
• Monitor washing formulas and process parameters to maintain quality standards.
• Plan and allocate manpower, machines and chemicals efficiently.
• Maintain inventory of chemicals, machines and tools.
• Collaborate with the Production and Quality departments on continuous improvement.
• Ensure safety measures and proper handling of chemicals and machines.

Required profile

• 10 to 15 years of experience in laundry operations within a denim textile environment, managing a workforce of 125 to 150 workers.
• Ability to handle high production volumes of 20,000+ pieces per day.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of denim fabric behaviour and various washing techniques.
• Excellent understanding of chemicals used in denim washing (enzymes, bleaches, neutralizers, softeners, etc.).
