Level 2 Support Engineer – Payment Services

About the role

The Position is a Level 2 Support Engineer within the Payment Services division of International Card Processing Services Ltd. You will work on complex production incidents, client fixes and critical defects, providing deep technical analysis and validation in a high‑stakes payment‑processing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve production incidents that exceed Level 1 scope.
• Analyse technical issues in a structured manner and design sustainable fixes.
• Develop and validate client‑specific fixes, critical defects and advanced support cases.
• Participate in testing and validation of code‑level changes and project‑related updates.
• Support project hand‑over readiness and production validation activities.
• Perform problem management on recurring issues and structural defects.
• Document findings, work‑arounds, fixes and technical actions clearly.
• Collaborate with L1 teams, SMEs, infrastructure and project teams on complex cases.
• Improve troubleshooting methods, support quality and knowledge sharing across the support chain.

Required profile

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities in a production environment.
• Experience investigating application logs, error traces and execution flows to identify root causes.
• Ability to validate code‑level fixes through rigorous testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ownership mindset, ability to work under pressure on client‑impacting issues.
• Willingness to learn in a complex payment‑processing context.
