Logistics Coordinator

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator ensures smooth daily flight‑catering operations by assigning driver routes, monitoring real‑time progress, and communicating any aircraft or gate changes. Acting as the communication bridge between drivers, ramp supervisors, and airline partners, this role keeps flights on schedule and maintains partner satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Assign driver routes and track real‑time performance using dispatch software.
• Enter client orders into the computer system and follow contractual procedures.
• Communicate proactively with drivers, ramp supervisors, control centre, and airline crews about delays, callbacks, or last‑minute updates.
• Ensure timely and efficient catering of flights according to daily schedules.
• Motivate and supervise a team of dispatchers, ensuring compliance with Newrest and client policies.
• Maintain safety compliance and report any safety risks to leadership.
• Support business relationships with airline clients and uphold service standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous experience in aviation, transportation, or logistics.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to analyze schedules and manage time‑sensitive tasks accurately.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
