Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for daily facility operations, ensuring a safe workplace, meeting tenant needs, and promoting a strong health‑and‑safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections of buildings, facilities, equipment and common areas to identify defects and maintenance needs.
• Perform minor corrective and preventive maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and fixture work.
• Respond to maintenance requests, execute quick repairs within authorised scope, and troubleshoot basic technical faults.
• Support preventive maintenance programmes and ensure scheduled tasks are completed on time.
• Monitor operation of building systems such as pumps, HVAC equipment, lighting, doors and locks.
• Assist external contractors during maintenance works and maintain accurate records of all interventions.

Required profile

• National Certificate / NTC Level 3+ in a relevant technical field (Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC, Maintenance) or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Minimum two years’ experience in building, property or facilities maintenance and a valid manual & automatic driving licence.
• Reliability, accountability, problem‑solving mindset, attention to detail and a safety‑conscious attitude.
