Management Accountant

About the role

Rank Interactive, the digital arm of The Rank Group, is looking for a management accountant to join its finance team. This is a full-time post suited to someone flexible and able to meet tight month-end deadlines. The finance team covers full general ledger responsibilities and is centralising and expanding its financial control environment; the post reports to the Financial Controller - Shared Services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements accurately and on time, keeping general ledgers and sub-ledgers clean and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
• Assist in reviewing and updating BU allocations monthly and prepare monthly budget vs actual analysis for department heads and management.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, assist in preparing monthly cash flow forecasts and help prepare annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts and financial models, and provide financial guidance to department heads and executives, including KPIs.
• Support audits and tax filings, liaising with external accounting firms and regulators, and keep abreast of industry trends and regulations.
• Review financial controls, identify risks and help improve processes and systems.

Required profile

• ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
• Proven experience of management accounting and delivery of full management accounts, with timely and accurate reporting.
• Preferred: understanding of the commercial drivers of the online gaming industry, ideally through experience in that sector.
• Strong communication skills, ability to work with senior finance and operations colleagues, and flexibility to work hours reflecting operational needs.

• Good system knowledge, ideally D365.
• Strong focus on financial controls and reconciliations, with the ability to flag risks to management.
• Analytical, methodical and detail-oriented, with good time management and problem-solving skills.
