Manager - Landscape Design

About the role

Novaterra seeks a Manager – Landscape Design to lead the creation and delivery of the external environment for a flagship lifestyle development and, when required, across its broader portfolio. The role is the client‑side design authority, guiding landscape from concept through construction and long‑term stewardship.

Key responsibilities

• Define landscape strategy, concept design and master‑planning for golf, equestrian, residential, hospitality and public‑realm areas.
• Develop planting frameworks, hard‑scape proposals and a cohesive landscape identity for the estate.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, golf and equestrian consultants, and MEP teams as the in‑house landscape design authority.
• Lead procurement activities including work‑package definition, tender review and evaluation of contractors and suppliers.
• Monitor site execution and quality, from soil preparation and planting to irrigation and hard‑scape installation.
• Balance design ambition with cost, water efficiency, durability and long‑term maintenance considerations.

Required profile

• Qualified Landscape Architect or Landscape Designer with 7‑10 years post‑qualification experience.
• At least 3 years leading design on large‑scale resort, estate or mixed‑use developments.
• Strong technical grounding in planting design, irrigation, hard‑scape materials and constructability.
• Comfortable working client‑side and coordinating multiple consultants and contractors.
• Portfolio demonstrating built landscape work.
