Manager, Park Development - Mountain Kingdom

About the role

Casela Ltd is looking for a Manager – Park Development for its Mountain Kingdom project. The role covers the strategic development, operational leadership and commercial success of the park, which aims to become a unique nature and adventure destination and eventually operate as a separate park and profit centre, while using Casela's shared services (Finance, HR, IT, Procurement, Marketing and Legal).

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the long-term master plan and position the park as a nature, adventure and conservation destination.
• Identify new revenue streams and strategic partnerships, and prepare business cases for new projects and investments.
• Develop premium products and adventure activities that increase visitor spend and repeat visitation, and benchmark against leading adventure and eco-tourism parks.
• Design and implement new thrilling activities unique to Mauritius, continuously refreshing the product offering.
• Work with the Commercial team to maximise local and international market opportunities.
• Lead conservation programmes and habitat restoration, promote environmental education and oversee maintenance of trails, facilities and equipment.
• Manage capital projects from concept to implementation, prepare and manage annual budgets and long-term business plans, control operating costs and deliver positive financial returns.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Management or another relevant field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in new business development initiatives and activities.
• Experience researching and analysing market information.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules to meet project deadlines.
