MLRO & Compliance Officer (Wealth Management)

About the role

Lead Solution Wealth Management is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer who will also serve as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO). The role is pivotal in overseeing the firm’s compliance framework and financial‑crime risk management across its regional operations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the designated Compliance Officer and ensure adherence to Mauritian laws, FSC rules, codes and guidelines.
• Develop, maintain and periodically review the company’s compliance policies, procedures and registers.
• Monitor regulatory developments, conduct compliance testing and report findings to senior management and the Board.
• Coordinate regulatory filings, inspections and audits with the FSC and other authorities.
• Serve as the MLRO, overseeing the AML/CFT and Proliferation Financing framework.
• Review and approve customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence and periodic reviews.
• Monitor sanctions, PEPs, adverse media and investigate suspicious activities, preparing STRs for the FIU.
• Maintain AML/CFT records and produce regular compliance reports for management.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Mauritian financial regulations, FIAMLA and FSC AML/CFT Handbook.
• Proven experience in compliance monitoring, regulatory reporting and AML investigations.
• Ability to interpret and apply United Nations sanctions and other relevant AML/CFT requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
