Network Security Officer

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Network Security Officer to protect and manage the network infrastructure for a government contract on Diego Garcia. The role involves safeguarding systems, data, and ensuring continuous security monitoring in a remote, high‑risk environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the program’s network infrastructure, including cyber‑security, safety, and data protection.
• Monitor the network proactively to detect and mitigate emerging threats.
• Provide 24/7 on‑call support as required.
• Perform additional duties assigned by program leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years of experience in a similar network security role, preferably within military or government installations.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials, passport, and driver’s license.
• Ability to meet PACOM medical requirements and pass security clearances.

Required skills

• Security+ certification.
• CISM certification.
• CISSP certification.
