Part-time Science Teacher

About the role

Northfields International School is looking for a local part‑time or freelance Science teacher to join its secondary school team. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality science lessons to students, contribute to curriculum planning and support overall academic progress.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver science lessons with clear objectives and assessments.
• Set challenging tasks that build on prior attainment and maintain student interest.
• Cater to individual student needs while maintaining lesson structure, pace and motivation.
• Use diverse teaching methods, including questioning, resource selection and study‑skill development.
• Ensure effective use of time, conduct assessments and uphold school policies on discipline, behaviour and homework.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment and quality assurance within the science department.
• Support students’ academic progress and contribute positively to whole‑school improvement.

Required profile

• Local candidate available for part‑time or freelance work.
• Experience teaching science at secondary level.
• Ability to deliver high‑quality instruction and support curriculum development.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
