Payroll Administrator – Tax Workforce Team

About the role

The Tax Workforce team is looking for a Payroll Administrator to support the delivery of high‑quality payroll services to our clients. You will assist the payroll team with data processing, documentation preparation and compliance, while gaining a solid understanding of payroll operations in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing in line with the service delivery model.
• Prepare payroll documentation and maintain compliance with internal procedures and statutory requirements.
• Respond to payroll‑related queries professionally and confidentially.
• Identify and propose innovative solutions to improve payroll quality.
• Stay updated on developments in payroll regulations and best practices.
• Build strong relationships with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Provide and receive constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Uphold PwC’s code of ethics and business conduct.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines.
• High attention to detail and accuracy when handling payroll information.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional, discreet and confidential handling of sensitive employee data.
• HSC school leavers with good A‑levels; one year of relevant experience is an advantage.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Experience with SAGE VIP (preferred).
