Reservations Specialist

About the role

The Reservations Specialist will manage bookings from both contracted and non‑contracted travel agents and tour operators for our luxury hotels across the Indian Ocean. You will ensure a smooth reservation process, deliver high‑quality service to partners, and help maximise revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Process reservations received from contracted and non‑contracted travel agents and tour operators via phone, email or other channels.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of each property’s availability and communicate it accurately to partners.
• Collaborate with hotel teams to confirm bookings, verify arrival documents and rooming lists.
• Provide exceptional customer service, handling special requests and preferences.
• Identify opportunities to upsell higher room categories and additional amenities.
• Utilise the Opera Cloud reservation system to record and manage bookings.
• Adhere to company reservation policies and CHML standards.
• Work closely with Front Office, Sales & Marketing, and Revenue departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Resolve issues promptly and escalate complex matters to senior reservation managers when needed.

Required profile

• Higher education qualification in hospitality or a related field.
• Previous experience in a reservations department of a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel or a central reservation office.
• Fluent written and spoken English and French.

Required skills

• Opera Cloud reservation system.
