Resident Manager

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Resident Manager to join the leadership team of a luxury resort on the tranquil shores of Trou d’Eau Douce, Mauritius. The role offers the chance to shape guest experiences, lead high‑performing teams and uphold the highest standards of service in a world‑class hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across all hotel functions, ensuring luxury service standards.
• Champion exceptional guest experiences by anticipating needs, resolving concerns and exceeding expectations.
• Lead, coach and inspire department heads to meet operational and financial targets.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, health and safety regulations and quality assurance requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost guest satisfaction, colleague engagement and operational efficiency.
• Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, revenue optimisation and productivity.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability and service excellence.
• Act as the hotel’s representative in the General Manager’s absence and support strategic projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 4‑8 years of leadership experience in luxury hotel operations, including a senior management role.
• Strong understanding of Rooms Division, Food & Beverage and overall hotel operations.
• Proven leadership, coaching and people‑development abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest‑centric mindset.
• Strong financial acumen and commercial awareness.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, luxury hospitality environment.
