Risk & Control Executive

About the role

Join the Risk Strategic Business Unit of MCB as a Risk & Control Executive. You will report to the Risk & Control Team Leader and help continuously assess risks and controls across the bank’s activities, products, processes and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and periodically review control libraries to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, internal policies and business objectives.
• Conduct risk‑based control testing to assess design adequacy and operating effectiveness of key controls.
• Perform thematic reviews and targeted assessments in response to emerging risks, incidents or regulatory changes.
• Monitor implementation of action plans and validate the effectiveness and sustainability of remediation measures.
• Identify, develop, monitor and report Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) with periodic reviews.
• Identify, assess and monitor operational, compliance, conduct, strategic, financial and emerging risks.
• Escalate material risks and control weaknesses through appropriate governance channels.
• Prepare clear risk and control reports, dashboards and management information for senior management and risk committees.
• Promote a strong risk and control culture through stakeholder engagement and awareness initiatives.

Required profile

• Proactive risk partner able to work closely with business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset to evaluate impact of business, process, regulatory and technological changes.
• Ability to communicate material risks and control issues in a timely manner.
• Experience preparing concise risk reports and dashboards for senior audiences.
• Commitment to fostering a robust risk and control culture within the organization.
