Sales Executive – FMCG Field Sales

About the role

Our client, a leading FMCG company, is looking for a dynamic Sales Executive to drive growth across a designated territory. You will build and nurture relationships with retail and wholesale customers, ensuring product availability and achieving sales targets through regular field visits.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily visits to existing and prospective customers within the assigned area.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with retailers, wholesalers, and distributors.
• Promote and sell the FMCG product portfolio to meet sales and distribution goals.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand market coverage.
• Monitor stock levels, negotiate orders, pricing, promotions, and merchandising.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and KPIs.
• Collect market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and customer feedback.
• Ensure product visibility, merchandising standards, and promotional execution in stores.
• Prepare and submit daily sales reports, visit reports, and forecasts.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and maintain healthy customer accounts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in FMCG sales or a similar field sales role.
• Strong knowledge of retail and wholesale sales channels.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
• Self‑motivated with a strong drive to exceed sales targets.
• Ability to work independently and spend most of the day in the field.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
