Security Engineer – Cybersecurity Solutions

About the role

As a Security Engineer in Technology & Digital, you will design, implement and support security solutions that protect the bank’s IT infrastructure and enable secure, seamless banking experiences for customers and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with technology, network and systems teams to support cybersecurity initiatives.
• Design, implement and manage security tools such as firewalls, IPS, SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint protection.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, guidelines and documentation aligned with industry frameworks.
• Assist incident response, vulnerability scanning and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with GDPR, PCI DSS and other regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or related IT field (or advanced diploma) with 3‑4 years of relevant experience.
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, SANS GIAC or equivalent).
• Strong analytical abilities and effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with firewalls, IPS, SIEM (Splunk, QRadar), Next‑Gen AV (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne), EDR and penetration testing tools (Nessus, Burp Suite).
• In‑depth knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and application architectures.
• Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Scripting/automation using Python or PowerShell; experience with VMware, Microsoft and networking technologies.
