Senior Analyst – Information Security & Data Privacy

About the role

BDO is seeking a Senior Analyst to lead information security and data privacy initiatives. The role involves coordinating cross‑functional teams, managing projects, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and improve business processes with respect to information security and privacy.
• Lead reviews of processes based on ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 33001 and related standards.
• Stay current on IT security frameworks and advancements.
• Conduct meetings, presentations and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Document results, update procedures and maintain incident reporting processes.
• Manage internal projects, develop plans, monitor performance and ensure timely delivery.
• Prioritize initiatives, monitor deliverables and update SLA/KPI reports.
• Provide coaching, conduct performance reviews for junior staff and support team development.
• Ensure adherence to GDPR and the Data Protection Act.
• Monitor security events, alerts and logs to detect and respond to threats.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, information security audits, compliance or IT security.
• Knowledge of IT security and ISO information security frameworks.
• 3‑4 years of experience in business analysis, IT security or data privacy.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking.
• Proficiency in preparing detailed reports and delivering presentations.
• Competence with Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 33001 standards.
• Understanding of GDPR and Data Protection Act requirements.
