Senior Auditor

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Auditor to join our Port Louis office. In this full‑time, on‑site position you will lead audit engagements, perform detailed testing of financial records and internal controls, and ensure compliance with applicable standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and lead audit engagements for a diverse client base.
• Perform substantive testing of financial statements and evaluate internal control systems.
• Review working papers and audit reports prepared by junior staff, providing feedback and coaching.
• Liaise with clients to understand their operations, discuss audit findings and recommend improvements.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of audit methodologies and best practices.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles and financial reporting frameworks.
• Significant experience planning and leading audit engagements in a professional practice.
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Chartered Accountant) or equivalent.
• High level of integrity, professional ethics and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work client‑facing across diverse sectors.
