Senior Compliance Executive

About the role

The Senior Compliance Executive will lead the implementation and monitoring of regulatory and AML/CFT policies across the AXIS group. You will work closely with the Compliance Manager and other departments to ensure robust controls, timely reporting, and effective liaison with authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess internal compliance practices, escalating deficiencies as needed.
• Support day‑to‑day operation of AML/CFT policies, including Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes.
• Conduct World‑Check and internet searches, screen sanction lists, and perform independent client checks.
• Coordinate compliance monitoring, audits, and file reviews across departments.
• Prepare reports, regulatory filings, and minutes for Client Risk Assessment and Compliance Operational meetings.
• Respond to queries from local and foreign authorities and assist in drafting compliance‑related articles.
• Train and coach subordinates, develop compliance training materials, and deliver sessions as required.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in regulatory compliance, AML/CFT, and risk management.
• Proven ability to manage complex compliance projects and interact with authorities.
• Strong analytical skills for research, data compilation, and report preparation.
• Excellent written communication for drafting reports, articles, and training content.
