Senior Consultant - Digital Finance Transformation

About the role

EY Mauritius is looking for a Senior Consultant to join its Finance Transformation team within Financial Accounting Advisory Services. You will lead high-impact transformation projects for local and global clients, helping them modernise their finance function through AI, automation, analytics, data platforms and emerging technologies. The role suits people who understand CFO and finance team challenges and want to use technology to improve processes, decision-making and agility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of finance transformation projects across industries
• Analyse current finance processes, systems, reports, data flows and pain points
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, controls, reporting quality and decision-making
• Turn CFO challenges into practical digital, automation, analytics and AI-enabled use cases
• Work with clients to define requirements, process improvements, data needs and solution concepts
• Build dashboards, data models, automation workflows, prototypes and proof-of-concepts
• Contribute to proposals, diagnostics, business cases, roadmaps, planning, documentation and client presentations
• Guide junior team members and build internal capability in AI, automation and data-driven finance

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in finance transformation, consulting, advisory, analytics, automation, data or digital transformation
• Proven track record of delivering finance transformation, reporting, analytics or automation projects
• Understanding of CFO challenges such as cost pressure, faster reporting, forecasting, process efficiency, talent constraints, data quality and governance
• Experience with finance functions such as Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting or performance management
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, STEM, Data Analytics, Information Systems or a related field
• ACCA, ACA, CFA, CIMA or equivalent is an advantage; additional certifications in Power BI, data analytics, automation, AI, cloud or project management are considered positively

Required skills

• ETL tools, Python, Power BI, SQL and data management tools
• Generative AI awareness and ability to show how it improves productivity, analysis, reporting or decision-making
• Exposure to Python / PySpark, AI/ML concepts, advanced analytics and data modelling
• VBA, UiPath and Microsoft Power Automate are a strong advantage
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint, and ability to build or support prototypes, models, dashboards and automation solutions
