Senior Cost Controller

About the role

C Beach Club, part of ER Group, is looking for a Senior Cost Controller. The role oversees daily cost control, revenue verification, inventory reconciliation and operational checks so that reporting is accurate, controls are effective and accountability is clear across the business units. It also supports the Financial Controller by identifying variances, strengthening procedures, following up with Heads of Department and guiding the team in applying cost control standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily revenue reports from the night audit system and compare them with the budget
• Analyse daily revenue to find variances, irregularities and areas where controls need strengthening
• Prepare statistics, reports and financial data for trend analysis, cost monitoring and budget follow-up
• Monitor purchase prices against market prices, quality standards and cost control requirements
• Review and support controls over purchases, receipts, payments, guest paid-outs and sales
• Organise, supervise and reconcile monthly and periodic inventories, and approve physical stock-taking
• Inspect storerooms, cold rooms, freezers, outlets, bars and boutique for stock quality and compliance
• Monitor slow-moving stock, equipment losses, fixed assets and asset tagging, and escalate variances
• Carry out spot checks, report findings to the Financial Controller and/or Assistant Financial Controller, and keep regular contact with Heads of Department

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management or a related field
• Proven experience in cost control, inventory management, finance operations or a similar role, preferably in hospitality
• Strong analytical skills and good knowledge of stock control, purchasing, revenue verification and inventory reconciliation
• Organised, detail-oriented and able to follow up with operational departments and Heads of Department
• Good communication skills, integrity and willingness to guide and train team members
