Senior Data Engineer

About the role

Publicis Global Delivery is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its Data team in Mauritius. You will design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines, ensure data quality and support advanced analytics for international clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and optimise data pipelines and data systems across multiple platforms.
• Transform and transfer data, ensuring accuracy, consistency and high quality.
• Monitor workflows, handle complex data issues and provide technical solutions.
• Support L2 requests and perform operational data activities.
• Contribute to data governance, workflow monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Analyse existing processes to identify efficiency gains.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate with internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5‑7+ years of experience in data engineering or data support.
• Strong background in data platforms, data lakes and modern data architectures.
• Advanced SQL knowledge (Spark SQL, T‑SQL, PL‑SQL) and proficiency in Python/PySpark.
• Experience with Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, Snowflake and cloud storage (S3, Azure Blob).
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman and collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence and Power BI.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
