Senior Data Scientist – Mauritius

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to lead the creation of high‑value analytics products that turn multi‑source data into trusted, monetisable intelligence for customers in the global risk intelligence space. You will work at the intersection of data, product and engineering, shaping how data becomes a strategic asset for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain predictive and prescriptive models across travel, risk and location domains.
• Apply statistics, machine‑learning and experimentation to improve data reliability and trust.
• Develop risk frameworks, benchmarks and domain‑specific metrics.
• Translate customer needs into data solutions, define value propositions and pricing inputs with product managers.
• Define data‑quality standards, validation rules and anomaly‑detection mechanisms while ensuring privacy and ethical AI compliance.
• Collaborate with data engineers to create reliable, model‑ready pipelines and with ML engineers to scale models into production.
• Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• 7‑8+ years of applied data‑science experience.
• Strong ability to turn data into clear, compelling business stories.
• Experience building customer‑facing, revenue‑generating data products.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; Master’s in AI or Big Data is a plus.
