Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

The Senior Financial Analyst will own the topline revenue intelligence function, translating data into performance narratives and supporting strategic decisions across the university.

Key responsibilities

• Own monthly revenue performance reporting, dashboards, and analysis of student fee revenue, collections, discounts, and receivables.
• Lead preparation of management accounts commentary, quarterly Board packs, variance analysis and financial forecasting.
• Manage end‑to‑end donor and grant reporting, budgeting for grant applications and compliance liaison.
• Co‑lead annual budgeting, maintain rolling revenue forecasts and support long‑term sustainability modelling.
• Partner with academic, operations and finance teams to provide clear financial insights and support Board and ExCo presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in financial management, FP&A or management reporting with strong business partnering.
• Proven experience with revenue‑generating operations such as student fees or subscription models.
• Experience managing donor or grant financial reporting and budgeting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to translate complex financial data for non‑finance audiences.

Required skills

• NetSuite (ERP) for data extraction and reporting.
• Google Sheets / Google Suite for trackers, dashboards and reporting.
• SQL query writing for data extraction and reconciliation.
• Salesforce for billing and donor data extraction.
• Advanced Excel for financial modelling and scenario analysis.
• Power BI (desirable) for building institutional financial dashboards.
