Senior Fund Accountant

About the role

Trident Trust is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to manage accounting duties for a portfolio of private equity and open‑ended funds. Reporting to the Head of Fund Services, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, NAV preparation and client satisfaction across global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Handle fund‑accounting enquiries for private equity and open‑ended clients.
• Prepare investor reports and NAV calculations, including cash and security reconciliations.
• Produce financial and management reports for closed‑end funds, covering capital calls and equalisation.
• Draft and review statutory financial statements under IFRS and coordinate audit processes.
• Maintain accounting schedules, general ledgers and bookkeeping records.
• Supervise and coach junior Fund Accountants, reviewing their work and ensuring timely delivery.
• Record time spent for invoicing and internal reporting.
• Provide ad‑hoc accounting support as directed by management.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or full ACCA qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in global financial services, with exposure to both open‑end and closed‑end funds.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight reporting deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, motivated team player comfortable working across time zones.
