Senior Java Developer

About the role

Dayforce, a global human capital management (HCM) company, is hiring a Senior Developer to report to a Development Manager. The role covers designing and implementing new products and features as well as enhancing existing solutions, working with Developers, Test Engineers, Product Managers and Technical Writers. Experience is valued rather than a fixed number of years.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor other developers using advanced programming concepts.
• Help standardize the use of design patterns, write unit tests and optimize full-stack application performance.
• Analyze, design, prototype, program, test and support the complete software lifecycle.
• Create and enhance a scalable SaaS enterprise application.
• Review code produced by the team and ensure delivery quality.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience with Java (8+) and the Spring Framework.
• 4+ years of experience with TSQL and relational databases.
• Experience with unit testing libraries and frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Spring).
• Proficiency with RESTful services and hands-on experience with design patterns, unit tests and performance optimization.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an Agile team, with strong communication and documentation skills.

Required skills

• Java (8+), Spring Framework, TSQL and relational databases.
• Unit testing (JUnit, Mockito, Spring).
• RESTful services; TypeScript/JavaScript and Spring Data, Spring REST and Spring Security are listed as a strong advantage.
