Senior Manager Card Operations

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Manager Card Operations to lead both the operational and technology sides of our card business. The role combines responsibility for efficient, secure processing of debit and credit card activities with the management of the bank’s Card Management Systems.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end card operations including issuance, transaction processing, dispute handling, reconciliation and vendor management.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, Visa and Mastercard scheme rules and internal risk frameworks.
• Lead the development, maintenance and support of Card Management, acquiring and switching platforms, guaranteeing high availability, performance and security.
• Coordinate system enhancements, regulatory changes and new product launches with internal teams and external vendors.
• Drive process optimisation, operational resilience and digital transformation initiatives.
• Serve as the primary contact for card‑related audits, risk management and performance monitoring across the bank and group entities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration or Information Technology/Computer Science.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in card operations and management of the card lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of Visa and Mastercard scheme rules and compliance frameworks.
• Experience managing 24/7 critical systems and incident resolution.

Required skills

• PCI‑DSS, ISO 8583, ISO 27001 knowledge.
• Core banking applications such as Finacle.
• UNIX/Linux/Windows operating systems.
• Oracle and SQL databases.
• APIs, switching technologies, encryption and key management.
• Card management system architecture and integration with payment networks.
