Senior Manager – Fund Administration

About the role

The Senior Manager will lead a team delivering fund administration and middle‑office solutions for Apex Group’s clients in Mauritius. You will be responsible for overseeing operational delivery, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving risk‑aware practices across the unit.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team on projects, assignments and ad‑hoc duties, ensuring delivery of internal and external deliverables.
• Manage all operational aspects of unit deliverables, including resource allocation and activity monitoring.
• Maintain high‑quality service delivery and oversee work performed by unit members.
• Review timesheets, balance capacity and address overload situations.
• Provide regular operational updates to senior management.
• Identify training needs and communicate them to senior management.
• Apply a risk‑minimisation mindset to daily work and proactively mitigate operational risks.
• Ensure portfolio companies comply with Mauritius Companies Act, Financial Services Act 2007, Code of Corporate Governance, Data Protection Act 2017, Securities Act 2005 and other regulations.
• Oversee licensing, regulatory filings and closing processes for closed‑end funds with the Financial Services Commission.
• Manage the full lifecycle of closed‑end funds, from formation and first closing through investment, exit and fund closure.
• Perform customer due diligence in line with AML Code and maintain updated CDD records.
• Attend client meetings as required, both internally and externally.

Required profile

• Demonstrated understanding of business risks in the Global Business Sector and a risk‑minimisation mindset.
• Strong ability to identify training needs and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
• Experience managing operational delivery within a regulated financial environment.
• Proven track record of overseeing compliance with Mauritian regulatory frameworks.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Mauritius Companies Act, Financial Services Act 2007, Code of Corporate Governance, Data Protection Act 2017, Securities Act 2005 and related regulations.
• Experience with closed‑end fund lifecycle management, licensing and regulatory filings with the Financial Services Commission.
• Proficiency in performing customer due diligence in line with AML Code.
