Senior Manager

About the role

The Senior Manager will lead a team delivering operational and compliance services for closed‑end funds and other entities within Apex Group’s Global Business Sector. You will ensure high‑quality service delivery, manage risk, and maintain regulatory compliance across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team on projects, assignments and ad‑hoc duties, overseeing internal and external deliverables.
• Manage all operational aspects of unit deliverables, including resource allocation, timesheet review and capacity planning.
• Ensure compliance with Mauritius Companies Act, Financial Services Act, Code of Corporate Governance, Data Protection Act and other relevant regulations.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of closed‑end funds – formation, investment phase, exit and fund closure – ensuring licensing and regulatory filings are up to date.
• Perform customer due diligence (CDD) in line with AML requirements and maintain updated records.
• Attend client meetings, sign off on bank account openings and verify shareholder approvals for transactions.
• Review board packs, certificates of standing and incorporation documents, and coordinate with regulatory authorities for licences.
• Manage client relationships, service delivery and team performance through regular meetings and appraisals.

Required profile

• 10‑12 years of experience in the Global Business Sector or a relevant audit firm.
• University degree from a recognised institution; ACCA, ACA or similar professional qualification preferred.
• Strong client‑service mindset with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, work under pressure and adapt to changing environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
