About the role

The African Leadership University is seeking an experienced software engineer to join its Software Engineering Programme as a faculty member. You will guide students through hands‑on, project‑based learning, helping them translate theory into real‑world solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality instruction across software engineering and computer science modules using practical, real‑world teaching approaches.
• Facilitate project‑based learning, guiding students in stakeholder engagement, solution development, and presentation of outcomes.
• Design, review, and continuously improve learning materials, assessments, and activities to align with academic and industry standards.
• Mark and moderate student submissions fairly, providing timely, constructive feedback.
• Hold regular office hours to support students outside of class.
• Contribute to curriculum development and adapt the programme to evolving industry practices.
