System and Network Engineer Tier 2

About the role

REST Solution is seeking a Tier 2 System and Network Engineer to manage and support both internal and client IT infrastructures. The role focuses on ensuring reliability, security, and performance of servers, networks, virtualization platforms, cloud services, and Microsoft 365 environments through proactive monitoring and rapid incident resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor servers, storage, network, and applications using various monitoring tools.
• Handle incident and service request tickets assigned to the Tier 2 support team.
• Perform in‑depth troubleshooting and research to resolve technical issues.
• Document customer interactions, problem details, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Create and maintain knowledge‑base articles for internal and client use.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors on infrastructure projects.
• Support virtualization platforms (Hyper‑V, VMware) and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Required profile

• Proven experience in Windows and Linux system administration.
• Strong understanding of networking and security infrastructure.
• Ability to work independently while delivering high‑quality customer service.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
