Tax Advisory Analyst

About the role

The Tax Advisory Analyst joins MCB’s in‑house tax team to research, interpret and apply tax legislation, providing high‑quality compliance and advisory support across the Group.

Key responsibilities

• Research and interpret tax legislation, case law, rulings, practice statements and Double Taxation Agreements, preparing technical notes and advice.
• Act as the point of contact for tax queries from stakeholders, delivering timely and practical input.
• Prepare tax computations and returns for assigned MCB Ltd and Group entities, ensuring accuracy and timely filing.
• Review contracts, agreements and new products to identify tax implications and risks.
• Assist with tax audits and investigations, preparing audit files, draft responses and supporting documents.
• Monitor local and international tax developments and produce impact assessments.

Required profile

• Degree in Law, Finance, Accounting or related field (or equivalent diploma) with at least 3‑5 years of tax‑related experience.
• Studying towards a professional tax qualification (e.g., ADIT, CTA) is an advantage.
• Experience in banking or financial services and exposure to tax technology are beneficial.

Required skills

• Strong research and analytical abilities to interpret legislation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
