Trainee Engineer – LPG & Fuel Systems

About the role
This trainee engineer position offers hands‑on experience in LPG and commercial fuel system installation, maintenance and safety. You will work alongside senior engineers and technicians to develop practical skills in system design, commissioning and troubleshooting.
Key responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers with site surveys and hazard identification for new installations.
- Support small‑scale LPG installation projects, including pump, meter and dispenser setup.
- Participate in start‑up, commissioning and routine maintenance activities under supervision.
- Document work, generate compliance reports and contribute to performance audits.
- Help troubleshoot common issues such as pump malfunctions, leaks and system failures.
- Attend operational training on fuel dispensing systems, calibration and safety procedures.
- Assist in procurement, material coordination and supervision of junior technicians or subcontractors.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
- Basic understanding of the oil and gas industry.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work outdoors on a flexible schedule.
- Computer proficiency and openness to learn specialized software.
