Treasury Accountant

About the role

Join DHL Global Forwarding, the air, ocean and road freight specialist of DHL Group, as a Treasury Accountant in Port‑Louis, Mauritius. You will administer treasury plans and processes to manage cash, funding, banking relationships and financial risks in line with business objectives and compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily cash‑management activities, maintain accurate cash positions and perform cash‑and‑bank reconciliations.
• Oversee bank and payment postings, ensuring they are correctly reflected in the general ledger.
• Prepare and distribute electronic remittance advices and post daily bank statements.
• Allocate and analyse transitory accounts, send weekly payment proposals to countries and execute payments via the bank portal.
• Follow up on outstanding payments, resolve queries from stakeholders and manage both physical and electronic archives.
• Record daily cash transactions, compile cash‑flow reports and prepare monthly accounting and reporting in line with IAS/IFRS and local GAAP.
• Contribute to projects such as stock‑option plans, acquisitions and the preparation of annual financial statements.
• Provide administrative support for day‑to‑day treasury operations and ensure compliance with defined standards and processes.

Required profile

• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication, able to address issues and drive change.
• Professional and objective perspective with a resilient, ‘can‑do’ attitude.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high confidentiality.
• Professional qualification equivalent to ACCA Level 1 or a degree in Accounting/Finance.
